CCAID Community Based Organisations
ACED seeks to improve the life of African communities through sustainable development, environmental education and capacity building. ACED works in Kericho, Buret, Nairobi and Nakuru.
AYICC is a network of African youth organizations and individuals working on climate change and sustainable development. Founded in 2006 at the COP 12 ? UNFCCC in Nairobi, its aim is to: ensure participation of African youth in climate change debate, identify and seek support for youth driven climate change solutions, and increase the youth awareness on climate change.

AGREE is involved in Energy and Natural Resource Management, Indigenous tree propagation and planting. AGREE reaches out to the communities through use of murals and theatre.

The organization is involved in advocacy for afforestation, water harvesting and organic farming. The programme operates in the County of Rift Valley.

The Organization was registered in 2004 as a Self Help Group. It is involved in tree bio-technology for Commercial Biodiversity, Agro forestry/Agri Enterprises and Natural Forest Resources Management. ASHG is based in Homabay, Nyanza.

ARCD is involved in environmental pollution control, waste water treatment and disposal, biogas generation and production of compost fertilizer.
The organization currently works in Kitui, Eastern County.
The Beryll Foundation is involved in climate change and environmental degradation awareness creation using green music and artists. The Foundation implements national campaigns. It is based in Athi River, Machakos.

The Bora Development Agency is involved in water and natural resource management as well as advocacy in the Yala wetlands.

This Programme seeks to green Butula District through sustainable environmental practices such as water harvesting, planting of drought tolerant crops, planting trees on critical catchment areas and rehabilitation of wetlands.

The initiative is engaged in enhancing the community?s capacity to adapt to climate change. It has installed eco-toilets with bio-digester systems for methane energy generation in schools in Dunga, Kisumu. The initiative has projects in Nairobi, Central, Western, Rift Valley and Nyanza Regions. The group uses performing arts (music concerts, theatre) in sensitization campaigns
